Tractors are back in service 31st August 2020

31 August 2020 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Ahoy all,
Ahoy all – Tractors Can be used from Monday 31 August 2020, but only if the instructions below are followed.

Covid-19 Alert Level 2 – BBBC measures

Effective 11.59pm Sunday 30th August, the Government announced New Zealand will move to Covid19 Alert Level 2. This move has been considered by BBBC Committee and the decision has been made to put both tractors back into operation from that time.

There are specific elements of the move to Level 2 that we MUST comply with, namely:
The need to maintain social distancing
The need to clean and disinfect
The need to provide contact tracing
The need to limit social groups to less than 10 persons

The following MANDATORY measures have been put in place to keep members safe:

If you feel unwell, have sore throat, or any flu like symptoms, do NOT enter the shed or use any equipment and you MUST seek further guidance from your Health professional.
Members MUST maintain a distance of 2m from any person you don’t know whilst using the tractors and boat preparation area.
Members MUST follow the instructions posted in the boat shed on hand sanitising, tractor disinfecting and hand washing.
Members MUST sanitise hands before and after use of equipment – hand sanitiser pump bottles will be located on each tractor and at log book.
Members MUST spray common contact points eg steering wheel, gear lever’s, hand brake, winch controller, sign-in pen etc before and after use of equipment – disinfectant spray bottles will be located on each tractor and at log book
Members MUST complete the dedicated Covid-19 Tractor log book in place requiring Tractor user, Rego car, Boat name, contact number, Sanitised in and out. COVID-19 QR code posters will be present for those with the app.
Members MUST acknowledge in the specified column in the Tractor log requiring members to confirm they have used hand sanitiser and disinfectant before and after use of any equipment.
The maximum number of people allowed at any one time at the facility is 10. This would mean only 2 boats launching or retrieving in the Rigging area at any one time. Members MUST queue if necessary outside the rigging area and wait until they can enter.
Always back the boat up to the Skate park fence – there is plenty of room for 2 boats/trailers in the space
Take the boat/trailer as far back to the fence as you can – this gives plenty of turning circle for the 2nd car/boat to access the space.

Note1 :
The internal Marine Centre toilets are out of bounds but the external Public toilets will be available for use.
Note 2:
Committee members will be on sight to confirm adherence to these requirements but in their absence we will be relying on our members to do the right thing, follow the instructions and keep safe. Any Club members able to assist with the monitoring of these requirements should contact colinc@orcon.net.nz.

Anyone requiring more information or clarification on any of these measures should contact Colin Chisholm, BBBC Commodore 021 650638.
